Sony showed two new upcoming DSLRs, a Flagship model and a High Amateur model. Sony has a lot of news but not a lot of detail. However are you seeing what I'm seeing on the Flagship atop its mast? That sure looks like a good old fashioned pentaprism flying high atop the Flagship!!! Can you say bright viewfinder?!? Hmmm... Those of you who have not put a classic film camera to your eye don't know what you're missing, and now Sony looks to be delivering the goods!
Sony's lack of specifics make it a little hard to comment much on these upcoming models, so here are a few of John's shots with comments at the end. Incidentally, my apologies for the slight delays posting here folks. We are retooling the machine as we go along and are ramping up as fast as we can.
Nice comparison here between Flagship on the right and High Amateur (HA) on the left. Both new bodies aim to produce higher image quality than the Alpha 100 does today using a new sensor design and their BIONZ image processing engine. Super Steady Shot is also inside both models. Although these prototypes look fairly finished, reportedly they are subject to change after this PMA.
