    Software to frame photos....

Is there a photo framing software? Currently, I use LR/Mogrify with ImageMagick, however it is not easy to use. I would like to make frames like this:

I use ImageMagick but it is just too complicated to do it. Is there an easier way to do it? Maybe a photoshop action?

There are lots of options available for digitally framing your photos. You can create your own action or there are lots of different software & plug in options available as well. I use an old script I got for free several years ago called Mikes Framer. Google it and you can find more info. Simply Google "photo frame software" and you should be able to find several different options, or create your own.

Yes, I did google them. But there a lot of useless ones for my purpose...unfortunately. I would like to have a nice, clean, simple B&W frame.

The frame shown above would be farly easy to do as a Photoshop action:

    Image> Canvas Size:

Make sure the 'relative' box is ticked, and the anchor is in the center. The value of the pixels will be twicw the size of the border you want. For example, choosing 100 pixels for both width and height would put a 50 px border all the way around the image. In this case, it would be a white border, since that's the canvas extension color.

Then, simply Select All, and Edit> Stroke. Give it about a 2 pixel black edge and viola!
