Purchasing Lightroom 2 & 3

I've worked out that if I buy LR 2 and buy the updated LR3 I can save about £70.

Is there anything that stops me from doing this? Ie you have to have LR2 for say a year before you can use the upgrade version?

That's a damn fine question. And I have no idea.

It seems like Adobe would be looking for a way to block that kind of buying strategy. My guess is you'll be able to do it. But you might want to try contacting Adobe customer service and asking them. They're not going to be able to stop you just because you call them and they should be able to give you the answer you're looking for.

Nothing stopped me.
I bought LR1 and upgraded to LR2 and upgraded to LR3.
It just needed a valid serial number from the previous version.

So I have to keep my version1, 2, and 3 CDs if I need to re-install.
Tested that process on a new laptop and it worked, so I know if I need to reinstall on a new system it's a little hassle, but it works.
