Photoshop CS3 Nef help

I recently entered the digital photography realm and got the Nikon D300s. I have photoshop cs3 and can't open the .nef RAW files. I downloaded the camera raw plug in 4.1 version and it still won't open. I have searched and can't find the answer and it's driving me crazy! Any help????

Support for the Nikon D300s was added in Camera RAW v5.5 which requires Photoshop CS4. Your options to use CS3 would be to convert the Nikon RAW to Adobe DNG or convert them to tiff using the Nikon software. You can then open the DNG or tiff files in CS3. - TF
