    Lightroom question

    Chaps,

Does anyone know how to find all the 640x??? dimension photo's in lightroom?

It seems that I had some filed under directories that I recently imported and need to find them to remove them.

    Re: Lightroom question

I can't even add it as a custom column.
Library Filter: Metadata gives 4 default columns.
I can click on the 3 lines on the right, or the Column name on the left, of a column and choose one of the options.
    But dimension isn't in there.

If you produced them, then would the develop preset help?
Mine would all be from the same preset name.

    Re: Lightroom question

I'm trying a Smart Collection, using the Searchable EXIF option.
So now I need to read the EXIF and see how to formulate that search.

    Re: Lightroom question

    I thought I had cracked it !
Search in the EXIF searchable data for "640" doesn't work.
    Gets you 1/640 second exposures

    I tried "640 x" and "x 640" and "640 x 480" and it does not do what I expected.
    Needs more investigation.

    Re: Lightroom question

    I conclude it's broke.
I can see in the EXIF that the Dimension is 640 x 480
But doing a TEXT filter in a folder of all 640x480 images looking for 640 in all searchable fields finds NOTHING.

    Re: Lightroom question

Oh thank god, I thought I was going nuts. I will be filling out a bug report this morning.

These were imported from a USB drive which I had as an archive and forgot that there were 640 x 480 photos littered through the directories. I only discovered them by accident. These were created using other tools such as Canon and PSE between year 2000 - 2006 before I got organised.

Thanks for all the help to all.

    Re: Lightroom question

I reported a bug to Adobe this morning and got a reply a few minutes ago. Yes the feature is not built in so I wonder what other metadata is not searched.

The reply states: "Regarding your concern, I would like to imform you that the search
feature in Lightroom is not included as if now and if you want, we would
request you to follow the link mentioned below and provide your feature
    request:
    "

I have now added a feature request to Adobe so that all metadata can be searched and given ideas on how this could be presented in Lightroom.

    Re: Lightroom question

I did the same in the forums, having failed to make it work.
