    I almost bought an RX100 last month. I was on holiday, I was doing the occasional unpredictable shot in the evening on my S95, it would have been useful. The only thing that stopped me was the lack of RAW support in Lightroom 4.

    Now I've calmed down a bit and I'm waiting for Photokina next month to see if anyone else (Nikon, Canon) announces something similar.

    Good thinking. Canon does have the 1.5-inch sensor they put in the G1 X, currently doing no one any good in that slow as molasses camera

    What I want, is a premium point-and-shoot with a 10x zoom lens. That's when I will pull out my own wallet. The last two P&S cameras I've paid for have been pocket superzooms.
