Just want to point out that whenever a company deeply discounts their software like this, it's often because they're about to release a new version and want to clear out their previous versions. Whether it's worth it to pay more for the new one depends, I suppose ...

Lightroom 2.3 is about to be released, so buying a copy now would get you a nearly immediate 'free' upgrade. If you wait until the 2.3 version is out, 2.2 might drop another few dollars.

Update, upgrade, pick a term! If it works better in my book it is an upgrade. Then again they did release some free up(something) not too long ago that wasn't an improvement. So more 'free' something.

2.3 is not a huge change unless you use one of the new cameras it will support or are running the 64-bit version. But it will be 'free' if you've already spent money before. Buried in some 'read-me' file, or tech note there will probably be some added feature we haven't seen exploited before.

And besides, with all the money I've spent with ADOBE over the years, and I'm not complaining, I deserve a free upgrade:thumbsup:.

Ha, so was I! I realize now that I meant to hit the Quote button and hit the Edit button (which is now there for all threads) by mistake. :mad2: Here's a pic of what a Moderator can do... twist your words, make you look funny ... So stay on my good side I will ask the other Moderators if this is a normal thing -- maybe the software has gone nuts.
