    elements 5.0 problem

I've been trying to do some organization with elements 5. Sometimes when I click the organizer tab it opens but most of the time I get a pop window saying,"The action you requested could not be completed because the application is not responding. It may be loading or waiting for a response from you."
If I try to open it directly I only get the above pop up. If I try to open it from the editing window I get progress bars along with the pop up window but the progress bar never completes and eventually just stops.
    Any ideas?
I searched adobe help but found nothing.
    Thankyou for your attention!

Hi frog ... I tried my own copy of Elements 5 - but it works just fine. Sounds to me as though you might have a corrupted file in there and need to reinstall it.

    Cheers

Thanks, Mike. The funny thing is that it does work..sometimes.
There were thousands of shots in the catalogs, probably because I open my photos with it.
Somehow have lost the windows photo and fax viewer download program,(that's another mystery). I was able to open it this morning and I could think of no reason to keep all those photos in my catalog since they were in my files and soon to be loaded to disc. I was a bit nervous as I didn't know if deleting from catalog would also remove the files but was able to find that it wouldn't.
I ordered elements 6 last night...good deal at Amazon.

The Adobe software does some really weird stuff sometimes. I had photoshop refuse to load unless I put in a disc once... that was weird. Usually reinstalling fixes things. You might consider lightroom for organization though. I got it with an academic discount for $89. Paired with elements 6 you have a killer combo.
