Adobe Lightroom 3 - Discounted Price

Normally I ignore the banner ads on most websites, but one on this site caught my attention this evening. Adobe has a limited time $100 discount on LR3, so its $199 instead of $299. Still not cheap, but a significant discount. I've been waiting for sale price on this software, so took the plunge and now have something new to learn!

If you go directly to the Adobe site, enter SAVE2010 as the promotion code to get the discount.

Thanks for the info Ken. Maybe it's a Black Friday/weekend deal.

Re: Adobe Lightroom 3 - Discounted Price

After some initial tinkering with LR3, I have to say I'm impressed. I have been using Elements 8.0 (which uses an abridged version of Adobe Camera Raw) and Noiseware Pro to PP my images. LR3 has the full blown ACR (same as CS5), and it is a newer version with much better noise reduction than PSE8 offered. The images below were from a RAW file shot at handheld 1600 ISO, 1/40, F 5.6 at 400mm on my 7D. This was taken before sunrise, so it required a significant amount of PP to pull out details. The lighter version is the best I could get out of PSE8 + NoiseWare Pro and the other was from LR3. Not sure how well the differences will show on these images, but they are day and night on my screen.
