    Titled:Tension

This is another one that as portrait felt a little disturbing and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not but it has remained a favorite because it always leaves me feeling a bit weird and "off"...

shot in color--purposely overexposed--- desaturated and a diffused glow filter added for a dreamlike feel to it.... at 18 mm to distort his features a bit. Glad this forum has been set up since I can now share shots that I tend to gravitate towards but rarely feel comfortable posting in more traditional setting.

"I was not trying to be shocking, or to be a pioneer.
I wasn't trying to change society, or to be ahead of my time.
I didn't think of myself as liberated, and I don't believe that I did anything important.
I was just myself. I didn't know any other way to be, or any other way to live."

Nat, I haven't commented on this photo yet because I honestly don't know what I think about it. It's confusing, I see what you mean. Since I see that you put a lot of work into it, then my opinion rises a bit. However, If I hadn't read your post I may think it would only be special to his mom. I've taken pics like that accidently and we all laugh at them.. so I may not be the one to ask. He's so cute though isn't he?

Nat, At first the overexposure kinda bothered me, but then i looked deeper and the photo caught my interest....made me wonder whats he holding? is that a wagon? etc. then I enjoyed looking at the textures in the grass and the trees then i was back to his face, looking in his eyes and wondering if he was smirking or smiling, or just bored with playing outside all day. I like it, and think that I would like it more if I could see features like Eyebrows and Eyelashes more in focus ( love looking into little baby faces)
