    This is one of my favorite things I have done recently. I was trying to convey my feelings of solitude and loneliness. It's like I am the only thing around for miles. It is for me a metaphor for the separation of my girlfriend and myself.

    Almo, I'm almost embarrassed to look at your photo. It's such an intimate shot. I immediately put together the idea of solitude and aloneness in this world so your point came across. Perhaps a sky that isn't so alive and beautiful woud work better to show depression. I'm sorry you have those feelings.

    OK, while I do enjoy this picture and it's a good execution with the camera and PS, I find it more a "fun" shot than an arty or original shot.

    This is because It reminds me of what most high school kids do, including me, when they get their first camera. Even more so when I got a screw on fisheye for my 50mm lens!

    Interestingly, I removed a comment in a recent post describing taking similar shots when I got my first slr. I was going to ask if I was more arty back then

    I like that and I think the sky makes it particularly striking. Reminds me very much of some of Bill Brandt's work.
