Art, Photography or What?

Someone mentioned the limits of art and photography. Take a look at this, and tell me what you see. It is my work, of course.

By the way, allowing for some noise and framing choices, this a pleasing photo.

Anyone else with a good eye and a warped sense of logic want to try and figure out what I am driving at?

I guess this is supposed to be a landscape and (if it is a bra) mountains/glacier?

If so, I like your concept.

If you understand the French,...glace and are able to put it together with berg in the title for the jpeg., it may give you some assistance.

I can see where you are coming from. I'm thinking you are trying to get a discussion going as to whether this is art or just a photograph. I for one like it and I can see the bra mentioned above. It is definitely a creative work and does offer some great opportunities for interpratation (sp) and discussion. DRG's statement about the Critique forum was IMHO just a concern for you if you had wanted critiquing. But from your title, I gathered you wanted the discussion to be opened up from just critique to arguing in the true sense of "What constitutes ART?" In this case I'm not sure I would call this "Fine Art" but it is definitely art in my way of thinking of art. Do I make sense. Sometimes I ramble too much. I really like this and hope to see others thoughts on the subject.

For another off-the-wall hint, the only person who assessed this work correctly was a mathematician but then there is a reason for that.

Whatever it is, the highlights in the center seem just a bit blown out, and there's something intruding from the right that I think can be distracting.

You are right about the highlights but I am not sure how distracting that supposed piece of ice at the right is, but that is certainly a valid opinion.

Back to the point I made about the mathematician. Can anyone see the relationship between mathematics and images?
