    project ideas

Looking for ideas for projects for upcoming months.
This months was totally off the top of my head but seems to be working rather well.

This is your chance to get the projects you'd like to work on and see what others do with it.

Might make a poll out of it if enough ideas come in.

    Thank you!

    Doors - I love Doors.....

I've seen contests on doors - and there are works of art on doors.

That could be a project - or challenge.

Is there any list of the last years projects? I don't want to suggest anything that's been done already.

    Re: project ideas

I'd list them for you but being a bit lazy right now.
If you open the project forum and scroll down, its pretty easy to see what the project was for a year or more if you go to page two.
Besides, nothing saying we can't repeat if enough are interested

    Framed !

Using framing in the taking of the photo, not mat and frame afterwards.

Pinhole photography. You could make a pinhole "lens" for your DSLR or make your own pinhole camera. You can find some free templates here.

Amazon.com also has some pinhole cameras you can buy and put together yourself.

Pinhole photography is a nice project, but I'm not sure I want a hole in the front of my DSLR to get dust in !

GREAT idea! (maybe because that covers a lot of my images!).

All kidding aside, this is a very creative idea.......

There are many ideas that come to my mind with the word "imperfection. It could be the "subject" matter that is imperfect - or the shot - or the photographer. A beautiful image with just one thing "imperfect" that might ruin it for some (like telephone wires over the most striking part of the photo).

Can you tell how much I like this idea? It just put all kinds of ideas into my head. It would be a fun topic.

Well, the above is your "official" ad for your idea!

LOL, thanks Liz. That's what I liked about it... there'd be a high level of interpretation for the photographer

Loving all the ideas, folks. Well except maybe the pinhole but if people want it I'll do it.

    Re: project ideas

How about candid facial moods (eg the subject doesn't know your taking the shot), photo's that exhibit a feeling from the subject, something like these as examples:

    project ideas-old-man1.jpg

    project ideas-trumpeter2a.jpg
    Shootme...

Please don't edit and re-post or use my images (not that you'd want to anyway...). without my written permission. Thank you

Here is a way to make a digital pinhole camera, without opening your camera up to dust.

What about something along the lines of, Outside My Front Door.

Maybe pictures taken from your front/back porch or within the vicinity. With the nice weather upon us I am sure there is a lot of activity going on right outside your window.
