    Hey Alison,

    I shot this last night after sunset. I took a six 10 minute exposures to get the stars and moon streaking across the sky. (I should have shot at ISO 200 to get more stars.) I opened all of the images in Photoshop and drug them on top of each other. So I had one document with 6 layers. I changed the blend mode to lighten on all of the layers except for my background layer. This lets the light areas in the photo come through.

    I also took a series of 4 photos for the foreground. For these, I used exposures of around 30 seconds and used a large spotlight to light up the FG. I combined these 4 the same way I did for the sky. Then I combined them all into one image. So to create this image, I used 10 separate exposures.

    Thank you so much for that MJ I had a feeling it would have been something like that
    Maybe I will find the time to try that one day. I haven't even had chance to take Ruffus sight seeing. Must try to get that done today!

    I used my brothers Nikon D40 with a Tamron 50-200 2.8 Lens. It worked great! I normaly use my E510 with the old Kit lens from my E500. I need a good 2.8 Zoom.
