    . . . some great photos guys 'n gals !!
Fall subjects can be found everywhere, as we get ready for the long winter.
Here's some tiny, white crocii that pop up every Fall, as all the summer growth slowly withers away.

I posted this in the critique forum last night, but it fits here as well. I made a 'camp fire' out of leaves. The 'smoke' is made from milkweed seeds.

Went up to Sundance Resort the other day and took a few images of the colors and flowers. Its a beautiful time of year here on the Wasatch Front. The last two are from my backyard.

Went back to visit a favorite photo spot this evening. The light had already slipped from the mill, but it was creating magic in the trees behind it.

Re: October Project : Fall Atmosphere

This is a great topic - so many beautiful - and interesting photos. Thanks Rick.

I was out Sunday - not too much fall leaves this year yet. However, I found a few things looking around as we took a nice drive.

I love this store window! Don't forget to read the sign!

    Little Cottonwood Canyon

I picked up a Nikon D3100 digital SLR to test over the weekend so I made it a point to get out yesterday and get some foliage photos. We have had interesting weather in Salt Lake this fall and it seems to have been very good for the fall colors. They just keep getting richer and more interesting. Yesterday I went up to the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon and got this aspen photo, which I think is one of my best fall color photos ever. I shot it with the Nikon D3100 and the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS lens.

    Re: Little Cottonwood Canyon

On my way up the canyon I stopped to get this one. I think the red trees are maples, although we have these little scrub oak trees on the lower parts of the mountains that also turn colors. Regardless, the red in the lower elevations has been ridiculous this fall.

This one was also taken with the Nikon D3100 and the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS lens.
