These were shot "before" the assignment so I'm cheating , but they're springtime! First is April 6, second is April 13.

Water is always good for a sunset shot. The first one had a very bright but very small color area, and the second one was all golden rather than red and orange, which I really liked. Click to get 1280-wide version.

Sunrise and Sunsets is something I have next to nothing of. I look forward to seeing others glorious shots.

    Re: May Project(s)

I don't do well at sunrise/sunset photos. However, I shot these last summer at Lake George.

The 2nd photo was shot about 10 minutes after the first one, at sunrise, but not on the water.

If you look too closely at this image, you will see that the quality is horrible. It was a Hail Mary shot out my truck window at 75 mph, so I was happy to at least capture some of the fantastic colors of the sun setting over the Rockies.

    Frog,

I just took a 2nd look at this since I didn't have time the other day when I posted. They are both excellent, but the first one is truly a beautiful shot. I love the way everything blends, and the golden color. Good work!
