I guess I will start out this month's project with my first shot of the new year! My neighborhood isn't very populated, but there used to be a lot more people around. I'm guessing the owner of this wagon may have decided this was far enough, and perhaps homesteaded nearby.

Nice topic. I think it's fun to do something like this as a project - it helps to get to know a little more about one another.

I live up the street from a Church. This was a rather unique wedding that was about to take place. Since the bride was arriving by horse and carriage, it drew the attention of the passers-by for sure!

Another creative - and great shot, Alison.

I do use IE. Sometimes it works, then stops after 1-2 shots. I can't figure it out, but it's frustrating so I don't post as much.

I live in a town of about 6000 people. It's one of the coldest places in the country based on average temperatures. It's been getting down to -15 F or so lately which for us in January isn't that bad!
There's also a state University here which keeps the culture somewhat young and vibrant. I like that.

Wow! These are stunning! Each image is uniquely beautiful. The lighting is well done on all three night shots. The cows look like you've caught their attention and they decided to pose.

Having said that, I do have a favorite. That first image! The composition is perfect - that moon looking down leads me right into the beautiful sunset below - then the trees and the rest of the scenery. Well done! I love this photo!

Nice shots folks! Here in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and the Seahawks doing well this season, one of the local churches has jumped on the 12th man bandwagon.

Here's a little more from the weekend.
I shot some photos at our winter carnival which has all sorts of wintery activities like skiing behind a snowmobile, skate obstacle courses, ski jumps, and a polar bear plunge.

Here's a friend of my son's doing a jump (didn't land it).


Here's a guy doing the Polar Bear Plunge. That's a hole cut into the ice of a pond at the park. When there was a few minutes between jumpers, ice was starting to form on the surface!
