    December Photo Project: Faith

    Hi guys,

Last months project was great! We had some awesome images, but I am still a little disappointed with the number of posts. Lets try all try and post at least one image this time. More would be even better!

This month's theme will be: "Faith"

What does it mean to you? God? Family? Friendship? Whatever you feel when you think about faith I want to see you express it with your photography.

    Lets go guys!

    Re: December Photo Project: Faith

Here are a couple of mine.

First image- For me this shows the person has faith in himself as well as his skills. He believes he is able to overcome the obstacles in life that are in front of us, and also to be able to move forward no matter how rocky the trail becomes (Or how rocky our lives become.)

Second image- The Leap of Faith. You never know until you try It takes faith to make the first step or first move into something we've never done before, or goto a place we've never been before, and we dont know what the outcome will be. Somewhere, after that first step/move is taken, that faith becomes a knowledge of something.

Third image- Since its the season, I thought I'd put my Christmas star out eary this year. Its actually the sun that I shot while at Monterrey, CA. No photoshop was done on the sun.

Well I am going to kick my images off with an older photo.

This is one of the greatest inspirations of faith in my own life. My parents are at this very moment in Daytona celebrating their 31th anniversary.

    Re: December Photo Project: Faith

Faith, one thing that is very important to me. Here are four from my collection.

The first one was taken in 2004 at PYPS (www.tkpyps.com) Convention. Laying our sin's at the foot of the cross.

The second one is faith in action, going out and helping people

The third is a sign of faith, worship.

The final one is symbols of faith, a cross, Bible, and an advent wreath.

Axle, that last image is nice, I like the warm dark subtleness of it. Almo, congrats to you and your parents, mine celebrated their 32nd anniversary last week, in these days, that is rare, I wish them many more years, and much happiness.

Here are a couple at least. Will try to find more.

The first is from a Jewish Temple in Louisville and the second is from a friends' church, also in Louisville. The third is a shot of a local church's cross on their building roof.

    Re: December Photo Project: Faith

I took this a couple of years ago. When shooting, I spot metered off of the single candle. This washed out the background significantly, though it fit the mood I was looking for perfectly. There is just a small amount of detail left, and there is no questioning what the backlit subject is.

Albeit I'm not Catholic, the use of the cross is dominant in the Protestant and Christian faiths.

    Here are mine:

    December Photo Project: Faith

It occurred to me as I was pressed against the glass of the Natal ICU making images of my friend's new daughter that here was a big example of faith...somewhere in that tangle of tubes and wires is a beautiful baby girl.
