'Up A Creek' ... Gippsland Lakes behind the 90 Mile Beach in Victoria.

From a reccy up a creek that I did looking for submerged logs and fallen trees to plot on the GPS. Taken a few days ago, prior to a boat race, which is done at night.. It was a good reccy and well worth the trouble and it payed good dividends this time.

I always take a lot of reccy shots prior to racing in the Gippsland Lakes ... of the conditions and hazards that can be expected. Photography is more than just pretty pictures for this neck-of-the-woods.

Shootme, Thankyou. It is good to have you relating to not just the image but to the region. Here is another shot from the 90 Mile Beach.

Since I haven't seen any "still life" shots yet, I guess it's time to add one. Recently saved 2 24"x30" fluorescent light boxes from a demolition job, and I'm trying to figure out what to use them for :)

I shoot whatever strikes me as interesting. March means melting snow in Canada, and big splashes are interesting visual displays. Most vehicles were swerving around this deep puddle, but thankfully some didn't :)

Thanks shootme. They are not HDR. The lighthouse was shot with a polarizer and a graduated neutral density filter, fairly late in the day so the light wasn't as harsh. I had fairly soft light for the Uvas canyon shot which is what this type of shot needs. There was pretty dense foliage over this whole area. Both were shot in RAW.
