I love Arcadia ... I love a sunburnt country.
I like this image because it takes me back to a time of when I was a student and I would shoot a Polaroid 5x4 before exposing a 5x4 Tri-X or Plus-X.
So often I'd pull the polaroid sheet film through the rollers only to get uneven development (most likely the developer pods were still frozen) and forgot to wipe the smelly little pink spreader of fixer/varnish over the pos and neg and it would go brown or pink within hours. No doubt some photographers will relate to having done this exact same thing with Polaroid sheet film.
35 years ago I first shot this property using a Polaroid film back with 52 or 58(?) film ... and it is exactly how I remember it ... brown and still unfixed. This more recent image is like a time machine ... I also love that photography is timeless.
