Though these two have obvious problems to the "regular" world, they have each other and I see them accepting each other for what they are and that's love.
    An obvious grab shot.

Probably no love here, that's just projecting our emotions on the scene :)
Unless you're French and you'd love them for lunch with a little garlic and white wine.

'South American Head' ... I love the panoramas of the Wolgan Valley.

I love the Western Blue Mountains. I love climbing the escarpment. I love having anticipatory nostalgia knowing that one day I'll stand on top of South American Head. I love being in the bush by myself. I love being alone taking shots ... but I hate snakes. There are too many snakes in my life.

The triptich show that although being the one image, each trip along the valley is seen (slightly) differently.

I love to point and shoot. I love to climb a hill, point the camera at another hill and shoot it.

'Because They're There'. Yankee Hat and the Old Boboyan Road, approaching the Bimberi Wilderness.

'Because They're There II'. Possibly Baal Bone Point, the Western Blue Mountains. I was off the map when I took this shot. Even back tracking from topo maps at home, I've not been able to I dentify this formation as there are so many formations like this where I was walking.

'Because They're There III'. The Western face of the Newnes Plateau from a(nother) failed attempt at South Americam Head. In that first image of South American Head it jusy looks like a dawdling gully scramble ... but the cliffs are truley awesome.

Ah, that makes sense to me Frog. It's interesting how a shot can provoke so much thought. Very cool.

    Re: 2009 February Project: Love
I took these today, I guess I see love in a different way. You would have to walk a mile in the shoes kind of thing. So if you are wondering why I posted these here, you will have to just keep wondering.

    My father was fireman.

He drove a big red truck and when he'd go to work each day

he'd say, "Mother wish me luck."

Then Dad would not come home again

    'til sometime the next day.

But the thing that bothered me the most

was the thing's some folks would say,

    "A fireman's life is easy,

he eats and sleeps and plays,

and sometimes he wont fight a fire

    for days and days."

When I first heard these words

    I was young to understand

but I knew when people had trouble

Dad was there to lend a hand.

then my father went to work one day

    and kissed us all goodbye

    but little did we realizes

that night we all would cry.

My father lost his life that night

when the floor gave way below

and I'd wondered why he'd risk his life

for someone he did not know.

    But not I truly realize

the greatest gift a man can give

is to lay his life upon the line

so that someone else might live.

So as we go from day to day

and we pray to God above

say a prayer for your local fireman.

He may save the one's you love.
