help w/ Adobe camera raw plugin

I'm trying to open my raw images in CS using the file browser, but I keep getting a message saying it's not the right kind of document. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Re: help w/ Adobe camera raw plugin

Here's the link for Adobe RAW and the list of camera models supported. RAW files are proprietary for each camera manufacturer . . . nice of them eh?

Looks like only CS2 supports it?

I suspect your solution involves a credit card and upgrade order.

I'm still on PS 7.01 myself but work all my images as .psd.

Re: help w/ Adobe camera raw plugin

RAW is specific to the make and model of the camera. What are you using? I also have CS and both of my cameras were on the original version of CS (because they had been around long enough before CS was introduced). There was an update to CS which added several new cameras but I don't see anything on the site now about it, probably because CS2 was introduced. There aren't any threads here that are still active that are old enough to have this announcement, but I know it was brought up here before.

I guess the least expensive option is to contact Adobe to see if your camera is on the CS update (Camera RAW 2.1 or something like that), and if you can even get it still. If your camera is on the CS2 list and you've been thinking about upgrading, then that'll fix the problem too.
