    Slideshow software recommendations

I am looking for software that will turn photos into slideshows for viewing on any TV through a DVD player. I'm looking to give my clients a little something more than just a book of proofs or a Disc with jpegs.
I'm lookig into Uleads PictureShow 4 as it seems really simple, creative and inexpensive.
Anyone using anything they can recommend?

I use iPhoto, which probably isn't much help.....

However, I was browsing what I assume was the latest issue of Shutterbug today, and noticed an article on slideshow software. I was at work, so never got past the table of contents, but I though it might help to mention it.

    thanks Joe,
I will check out their recommendations. In the meantime, i have downloaded a free trial version of Ulaeads PictureShow4 and have created a show which I am about to view on the TV. I was only allowed to include 10 images but maybe due to it being a trial 30 day version.
Well, it was easy enough to create and so i will see how it looks . . .
    here goes.

    Re: Slideshow software recommendations

Years back I used Ulead. Never ever again. I've had the program crash too many times and lost many shows that I had hours into. Hopefully the software has improved, but I personally would eat my liver b4 I put time into a show with their products. ;)

The products I recommend are the photodex proshow gold or proshow producer. Proshow gold is probably enough program for most people.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Thanks JETA. Uleads Picture show 4 has probably improved upon what you used in the past. It had the best reviews from some PC magazines and other venues. I tried it and it works fine, but I will give ProShow Gold a look also as that is also highly rated.

That's great news! I figured they must have improved by now.

The other one to look at is PicturestoExe. This one is the "standard" in the UK for competition AVs and is very powerful. You can find it easy enough online .. the trial is fully featured with a limitation of 10 images. If anyone wants to see an AV done with it, let me know.

    Cheers

ProShow is fantastic. You can also burn to Blu-Ray if your customers have the player and the TV to play it (you'll need a burner though).

I also second Proshow. Fantastic program that is so easy to use I can figure it out. I was using Proshow gold and I talked my employer into purchasing Proshow Producer for me for a project I was working on. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I was done the slideshow looked so professional and actually made me look like I knew what I was doing. A little on the pricey side but what the hey its for your customers right. And who brings you more customers? Happy Customers.

It might not be pro enough for some but I have fun with the slideshow software from MAGIX, PhotoStory on CD & DVD deluxe.
