Question Recommend Digital Photo Computer Program

I am looking to purchase a better photo editing program. I currently have Microsoft Picture It and the software that came with my Fugi S5000. I find them both difficult to use and they really do not do much to be honest.

I am a beginner so i need the program to be easy to use but i would like professioanl results.

    Any recommendations?

Well, Photoshop is considered the best but I assume you know that and are looking for cheaper alternatives.

Try these links and see where they take you:

Photoshop is definetely something you can grow with. It can take years to become efficient with the tools it provides and it does provide a lot

    Adobe Photoshop CS is currently
    US$649.00 Full
    US$169.00 Upgrade

The upgrades are usually very affordable compared to the full version so you definetely have to consider the purchase of the full version a major investment.

For those in school, they offer educational versions which are extremely cheap. Just watch out for what you buy on Ebay, computer shows, and the like because they're most likely pirated. Or you'll find that your full version you bought off ebay can't be upgraded when you buy a future upgrade.

I hoep this helps. Good luck.

I would like to offer you SnapTouch (www.snaptouch.com). This program was conceived as a complex solution for processing digital photos. "ToDo" list is not very long at the moment, but this program is already perfectly capable. The flash lessons on the program are available at the site.

    Best regards, Denis

And this would be free advertising would it denglad. Have you asked the owner of these forums if you can do this sort of adhoc advertising without contributing something back to the board.

1 post and advertising, go figure.

    Hi,
I use PhotoELF. It is not spendy and it is good for a beginner. Plus my husband uses it and he is not a beginner. So we are both happy.

If you are a student at a college or trade school, you can use your student ID to buy the "educational" version of Photoshop for around $250. It is identical to the full version, in fact it is the full version with "educational version" on the splash screen. It updates just fine, and then you're in the Adobe fold.

They want the students to start using Photoshop, that way when they go pro they already have it and continue to upgrade it.

    Digital Photo Software

    Hi:

If you are a beginner, I would recommend Paint Shop Pro. The enhance photo option can handle several corrections fast and easily and according to the labs at PC World, also very accurately.

Although I use Photoshop as well, it does take some getting used to, if you are not into computer graphics and images in a big way.
