    Question Developing digital pictures

Any suggestions about getting digital pictures developed? I have never had any of my digitals turned into prints and I'm wondering where a good place to have this done would be. A guy I work with is very happy with his 4x6" prints taken with a 2.0 MP P&S that he has developed thru Walmart.com for 24cents each. I have found some companies on the net (www.winkflash.com and www.yorkphoto.com) that will do them for between $0.12 - $0.17 each. What can I expect from companies like these for quality? I'm assuming that as the price goes down so does the print quality but I have never had it done so I don't know... For the most part a 4x6" print from Walmart, or someplace like that, would be fine for me, but I do want to have some of my pictures blown up and framed to hang in my house and for those, quality would be very important and I don't know it a walmart type photo center is the place to go for something more important than a 4x6" snapshot. Any suggestions as to where to go for developing low cost snap shots at a reasonable price, and high quality enlarged prints would be greatly appriciated!

I believe the Online printers will be as good if not better than the Walmart ones, but that does depend on the person at Walmart doing them. I have read that if you aren't happy with the prints from the online places you can return them for a refund.

Best bet is just get a couple done and see how they turn out and take it from there.

Wal Mart One Hour Photo Lab's can print pictures directly from your digital media. If you've got a smart person working in the lab you can get pictures as good (if not better) than some high end photo printers...however, if the person working is an idiot ur gonna get pretty crappy pictures. You DO NOT want to do your pictures via walmart.com. The lab that Wal Mart.com uses (fuji) does a horrible job. They've got to much business to take care of each and every picture. The one hour labs use fuji machines but put in more effort...at least if you've got a quality lab tech working.
