    Any reccomendations?

Don't like using Photoshop to do, and Nikon Capture isn't great as i use iPhoto to manage my pics.

Re: RAW conversion software for Mac

could be wrong, but isn't Aperture for RAW processing outside of PS? I'm using C1Pro and Breezebrowser, and they're just OK on my PC's. My friend who sold me on Macs says Aperture is awesome. I'll probably get it when I'm totally sold on Macs. I ordered PS elements for my wife's Macbook Pro, along with other software (Office 2004 pro, iLife). I'll be giving my wife's new laptop a pretty good workout when we get it. If I find I really LOVE Macs, then I'm ordering a second Macbook Pro, and semi loaded G5, along with Adobe Creative suite and Aperture.

I would love to get Aperture, but i've just forked out for a new camera so £200 is a bit much at present. I was reccommended the Adobe clone of it - Lightroom - which is still only Beta, but is free to download in this state. Its very nice actually, DL'd it yesterday and used it to process some shots i took last night.

I've heard that Aperture has some serious flaws right now and needs more work.

I work professionally www.LITfoto.com with Photoshop CS2 and am pretty blown away with its RAW converter.

It has changed my entire workflow! I can now - very easily - shoot a RAW job, open ALL the files in the RAW converter, make changes to them, select all of them and save them ALL to a JPEG folder. Once there, I use my actions to create 4x6 proof sized images with my copyright info on the photo.

Previous versions of PS NEVER allowed for this level and convenience of processing!

Give Graphic Converter a try and see how it works for you.
*Camera: Canon Rebel XT with stock lens plus a clear UV filter
*Software used to enhance photos: Photoshop Elements 3, or Graphic Converter v.5.7.3 for the Mac
*Computer used to upload photos: iMac G5 running under Mac OS 10.4.3, plus Safari (or FireFox for the Mac)
