PS RAW Preview?

Why is it that my preview looks like this, but the conversion looks like this?

I should mention that I did nothing to the image. It's a straight conversion right out of the camera.

It's got to be a color management setting. What are your PS color settings? Which version of Photoshop are you using?

Oh crap, I think my ignorance is showing...:blush2:

I am using CS on my iBook, but I have not messed with color management. Chalk that up to the fact that before I started to shoot all in RAW I only used PS to slightly touch up my images. Also, I am a little lazy sometimes, but are not we all?

Settings, I suppose, would be default.

Maybe the preview is the incrusted JPG, instead of the processed RAW data. Many programs do this for performance reasons.

At least you have an Image in your preview!
All I see on RAAW files is a Icon that says RAW. I can see the jpeg files. If I click on the corresponding RAW Icon, ir does open in the CS2 Raw software.
