    Photoshop Elements 4.0

I have just downloaded PSE4 as a tryout because of RAW support and 16 bit support

Does anyone know why if you edit a RAW file converted to 16 bit it won't let you create layers? Is this a limitation of the product or juts the Try and Buy?

Because layers aren't available on 16 bit files in Photoshop Elements 4.

    Thanks Peter,

How come they claim 16 bit support if you can't edit the blasted photo's. Doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not sure I like this new UI either.

I like to be able to get the tools floating which I can't seem to do with 4. Perhaps I'll go to Paint Shop Pro purley for cost reasons.
