Hi Dan, I just recently opened a gallery on pbase.com, and I think it has exactly what you're looking for. Pbase allows you to post photos publicly (in public galleries) for those amazing shots you want to share with the world, and also lets you have multiple private galleries that are password protected so only the people you want seeing them have access.

The price is extremely reasonable too! I'm paying $60 a year for 1500MB of storage. If you need less you can pay $23 a year for 500MB of storage. Well worth it if you ask me.
