Need help - pc font size changed.......

This morning for some odd reason the font size on my pc changed. I don't mean my typing in posts, etc. I'm talking about the size of the page print. For example, I went to B&H and the print on the page is so big that I have to scroll from side to side and up & down to read it. It's the same with my email, google, and most websites. Some of them look the same (like PR) which is strange. I can't figure out if I clicked something by mistake - or what.

I'm "technically challenged" so to speak and nothing like this ever happened before. So the big question I have is:

How can I get this back to normal?

    Thanks!

Liz, it would seem to me that your screen display settings changed somehow. Try right clicking on any opne area on your desktop. Select "properties" then go to the "settings" tab in that window. Your screen resolution should be anywhere between 1024x768 - 1280x1024, which is where mine is set to. could be different depending on your screen size and format (wide angle) but you should definetly not be at 600x 480 which it seems like it may be. Even 800x600 may be too low a resolution for your screen.
Also, after checking that open up the "advanced" tab and under the "general" tab settings make sure the dpi is at 96 (normal) You may have to restart your computer to have it all go into effect unless you select "apply the settings changes without restarting computer"
    hope this helped

Liz, reading a bit more about your description of the problem it also could be that in your browser window you have set the zoom to more than 100%. If your using IE, go to the "page" menu at the top and select "Zoom" Your zoom setting should be at 100% and not more. If it is more, all the contents on the pages will be magnified accordingly lending to the sysmptoms of the trouble you described.

In Internet Explorer, also look at Page | Text Size

It's the same with my email, google, and most websites. Some of them look the same (like PR) which is strange.
    It depends on the website.
Some are written not to allow the user to set ridiculous text sizes.

If you're using Outlook, well that uses Internet Exploder to do the display, so that would explain it either with zoom or text size.

    Thanks Gary & Paul

The resolution is fine. I finally found the "page" options and the text was set on extra large - so I changed it to medium. It looks fine - normal - just like before.

I had to go through some gymnastics to get to the page option. I have no clue how I managed to change it unknowingly.

At any rate - thanks so much for your help. I'm really a tech dummy when it comes to fixes on the pc.
