Hi, I recently purchased a firewire card for my sony HC 35e. When transferring video via firewire it is much better than when I was using USB. However, there is still a noticable difference between when I view the tape on TV vs what is visable once it's transferred onto the PC. It almost seems a little blurred and colours are not as vibrant.

I am using the Sony provided software to transfer video. I have also tried using Ulead 10 with various settings.

Is there any way I can improve the capture quality?

As far as I understand firewire is it should be almost lossless quality.
