    Flatbed Scanner

I'm looking for an inexpensive (under $100) flatbed scanner for the purpose of scanning old black & white and some colour photo prints. These would be to share with family, so they are not artistic photos where quality would be #1. So many on the market, so would appreciate hearing about yours.

Any of the major computer makers' scanners are capable of doing what you're asking for. I've got an HP, I've had UMax, Epson, Visioneer, HP, they're all pretty much on a par. When you start getting into the higher end of the flatbed family, then there are big differences, I'm a big Epson fan. My two cents today.
