Epson 2200. Can only choose from 3 paper types!
Hello folks, it's my first time on this board so please be gentle with me. :p

I have an Epson 2200 that I purchased over 1 year ago. I haven't used it for a few months and went to make some prints the other day. I run XP and service pack 2.

I got as far as to choose my paper type when I decided to use up my 4" glossy roll. I cancelled the print job and set up the roller and then went to print. Alas, I now only see 3 different paper types to pick from: enhanced matte, velvet fine art & watercolor paper radiant-white. No glossy at all!

Thinking the drivers were out of date, I logged onto Epson's site and downloaded the appropriate updates. I installed them and rebooted. No change.

This morning, I completely uninstalled all the Epson software and then installed ONLY the new software/drivers that Epson offers including updates on the profiles.

Once again, I checked and had about 6 or so paper types available to me. Wonderful. Problem fixed.

I cancelled the print job, loaded up the 4" roll and BAMMO! Only 3 are available to me again.

I was curious if anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the solution.
    TIA.

Problem resolved. One of my ink cartridges was not in all the way and from what we can tell, that was screwing it up. I just ran a test and it works okay at present, although I do have to use the "clean cutter" function to get the roll paper to cut.

Just thought people would like to know.
