Does computer screen angle matter when correcting digital images?

I do most of my photoshop work on my laptop... I'm trying to find information about what angle my screen should be while doing the work?

I'm afraid the angle of my screen will affect any digital corrections I make.

    Does anyone know abotu this?

    Thanks so much in advance.

I also do my PS work on my laptop, and the angle I view my screen makes a HUGE dif. in how the image looks. I try to keep my screen very constant and make sure I'm looking straight at it while editing photos. I think consistancy is key with LCD monitors. That includes the lighting too.

Same here. By day my laptop sits on my desk; by night it sits on my lap. Often, the work I did the previous night looks terrible the next morning. The angle of the screen makes a HUGE difference.

The difference is not so much the colors, rather it is in the brightness, saturation, and contrast.

Like Michael stated, consistency is the key.

So is a 90 degree angle what I should be looking at? I usually have it at around 100 degrees.

    Thanks again, Lisa

you should have it so that your eyesight should be perpendicular to the screen.

    bad, i know.

but does that make sense? it should actually be a bit lower. basically, if your screen is at a right angle, you want your eyes to be at the level of the middle of the screen.

    Good example, Brent.

Yeah, I do believe that laptop LCD's are designed to provide optimal brightness, color, resolution when viewed directly head-on. Try it yourself, move your head up, down, all around...

Wonderful - thanks. Your picture was very clear... and I'm thinking since my eye level is a tad bit higher that the screen, that 100 degrees might be about right... I really appreciate y'all helping out!!
