New Graphics Card...more saturation - Need Help

first..thanks Photo-John for the oomputer store referral. I just got my AMD 64 / Server built in less than 3 days for 1/4 the price of a comparable Mac. Installed is 2mb and I'm waiting to put in another 2mb of ram. It's fast.

My new video card is the ATI Fire GL T2 and after I calibrated the monitor to the Srgb target, the colors are definitely more saturated than my previous video card. I am assuming that the new card has better color capabilities, but is this normal? Right now it seems to be oversaturated.

Is this a monitor issue or a Photoshop color management issue?

Should I calibrate it to gamma 1.8 or 2.2 instead of the Srgb target? I'm using the ColorVision Spyder.

Loren Calibrate to 2.2 and set the target to Adobe RGB, let the system use the colourvision spyder setting and see the difference. Make sure that the Photoshop Adobe Gamma isn't loading up as well, as that can confuse things too.
