I have never heard of a digital enlarger. Have you tried Google? Could you explain to me what it is?!

I don't think that a digital enlarger would be cost effective for most photographers. Including the cost of the enlarger, materials, time and related necessities you would have to work out a cost per image at the sizes that you work with. Needless to say, top quality camera/lens combinations would be an absolute requirement as well.

I find diversification more cost effective in that I am not always working to print form.

Yes, you are correct. The cost of a digital enalrger is very high. As far as the camera and lens I have that covered...but I do love my dark room just was wondering about the digi enlarger.

    Thx

With a LCD projector, I can see the individual pixels ... I would be concerned about the LCD resolution, particularly when making large enlargements.
Is it going to have as many pixels as your sensor?
If they're in a triangular RGB layout, or a striped layout like a TV, or like a bayer filter, then what's the effect on the projected/printed image?
I'm intrigued how they make it work, technically.
