Developing up to A3 with a 5.0 megapixels

    Hi Guys

I have a cannon a460--5.0 megapixels.I have read the manual which
says that I can only develop up to A4 size ...for decent prints that is

Is there anyway to get decent prints up to A3 with this camera.?
Can something be done in a software program to enable me to print
    up to A3 ?

    THanks

Yes- kind of. How's that for taking a bold stance?

Having looked up the A460's image specs, as well as the specs for an A3 print (we still use inches over here), you would have to increase the image size by about 35-40% to print an A3 at the same resolution. The are several programs out there that can do that, but some do a better job than others.

If you're not familiar with the process, then let me first say this: you're going to lose some image quality. It's unavoidable. The software is going to be "making up" pixels, and that always softens the image. But with only a 35-40% increase, you should probably be able to offset that with some sharpening.

So the next question is, which software do I need, right?

Depends on if you have any editing software now, which platform (Mac/ Windows) and operating system you have.
