color profiling nikon 8000

hi ,
any body knows how to color profile or calibrate this scanner using an iT8 target ?
It seems to me that it does not accept any outside profiles,
I sent an email to nikon but as expected of them I got no answer at all
Pls. help

You have to get a profile maker (Macbeth/Monaco) that will scan the target at the desired resolution, and then make a profile for your system. I have the Nikon 8000 scanner and have gotten around this method by building scan settings, and then color correcting by using levels/curves by finding a white/medium tone/black point.

have you tried vuescan from http://www.hamrick.com by any chance, seems to be very popular scanning software and covers a lot of different scaners http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/vuescan.htm#nikon. Just a thought.
