Bad Clone Job? Yes Or No?

I recently did some photographs for some friends of mine who build mountain bikes.
I did a straight on shot of the bike, and I was standing the bike upright with a tent pole.
My intention was to clone out the pole, so the bike looked like it was "balancing" on it's own. That's the name of the frame.
So is the clone job I did on the tent pole too obvious or what?
    Thanks for commenting!

If you're talking about the blurry spot above the pedal on the right, then, yes, I can see it very easily. The "patch" tool with a little smearing on the edges may work better for you. Good luck!

I agree with his advice, but easy on the blurred edges. The reason this photo is more difficult is because of the change in dof where the clone needs to take place. The patch tool will work well here if you select a tall vertical sized patch.

Good luck, may take some more trial and error.

    Thanks for the advice too!
I am sure it will be trail and error Trevor, this is a first time for me on something like this.

    Bad

    Brian-
The cloning job is pretty obvious to me. But the photo is very nice. Practice makes perfect. What makes it obvious is the softness of the area above the pedal. It doesn't match the focus of the area around it. There are lots of ways to retouch. The patch tool is probably the best way to do this. You could also use the healing brush or the cloning tool. I think the healing brush might work really well for this image.

But forget all that photo stuff. Are you getting a bike out of this? You need that new 6-inch bike. It's sweet. And the price is right. I think a nice freeride bike is something you neeeeeeeeed

Chris would give me a good deal. Plus he'd get me it in the color of my choice, RED!!
I like this bike, I really do, but it's way heavy for me, the frame alone is 10lbs.
I have enough for a frame right now, but no more than that at this time.
I have a few others from this shoot, some of which will end up on their site.
I SOOOOOOOOOO Want, Need and Desire a new bike!
