    At the Zoo - Flowers

Oddly enough, I think my best shots from the Zoo came from the beautiful botanical displays they had. The orange flower, minus it's "clicheness" is possisbly the best shot I've ever taken out of my D60. I know flowers are cliche, but these were my favourite.

    Thanks,

    Jared

Re: At the Zoo - Flowers

These photos are unique to me so how can they be "clicheness". I think we should stop using that word around here.

All nice selection of flowers but since background doesn't always help composition, I like to use square crops (and centered) for stuff like this to make it easy on myself.

Thanks for sharing and keep it coming.

    Manacsa,

I guess the whole thing about clicheness is how relative it is to each of us. It just seems that large portion of my good shots are flowers or some sort of plant. They usually end up how I imagine them to be and I'm quite happy with them.

Good point about the background/composition. The only one I tried to focus the background on was the alst shot (hence the off-centred subject) due to the dull background color and the vibrant color of the flower.

    Thanks for the comments!
