    At the Zoo...

    Well,

After a long hiatus, I've made my way back on here. I apologize for my sporaticness, but it's been a crazy time for me.

Anywho, I'm now in Calgary, Alberta and got the pleasure to goto the Calgary Zoo, the best zoo in Canada and arguably North America. These are some of my keepers.

Enjoy and it's nice to be back.

Dude, where have you been??? Glad to see you back!

The blurry tiger behind fence isn't doing it for me whether you intended to show us a blurry tiger or not.

The two white birds are cool cuz they are moving similarly. Maybe needs a touch of sharpening. I would also zoom in with a square crop to see more detail.

That thing with a tail is cute but I would like to see it off center with less of that rusty looking box on the left. Nice DOF by the way.

Hi Jar Jar, (I got a good buddy at worked called Jared and everyone calls him Jar Jar, just so perfect)

The first one isn't doing it for me either. Somehow I wish you'd focused on the tiger instead. right now the fence is the dominant subject and it doesn't work for me.

the birds are great IMO, their unison adds a lot to this shot. They seem like a mirror image. Perfect moment.

My favourite is the little "monkey" or whatever that is. You've caught him really well and I like the shot as is. maybe a bit sharper but that's it.

    welcome back.

    Re: At the Zoo...

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    Manacsa,

Life's been busy. Alot of work, moving to a new town, it's a long list. The first shot is an interesting one; I was trying to portray the whole "trapped" feeling. IMO, I think this works better in a larger format, but it may just be my biasedness. I'm glad you like the second one, the "mirrored" effect was something I quite enjoyed about the shot. Good point about the last shot, I didn't even notice the rusty box. Thanks for the comments.

    Liban,

Jar jar sure beats jarhead *laugh* I do have a shot with the tiger in focus, maybe I'll try posting that one shortly. Glad you like the birds and the monkey as well; I quite enjoy the monkey one, reminds me of a "national geographic" shot.

    Thanks again.
