    Hello. The lighting was harsh for sure which is an issue. Also, the grape seems rather centered to me. I think that cropping some of the left side and a thin slice of the top would enhance the picture. Which winery were you visiting?

    As Seb pointed out, the lighting and the tight crop is what I'd recommend working on. Definitely has potential though.

    The second crop is much better, and dodging the grapes a littlle certainly looks better too.

    November is the time when you want to be in Sonoma taking photos. Granted, the grapes have been harvested but there is still plenty of potential for shooting vineyards especially with the leaves changing colors. And sometimes there are still a few grapes on the vines. You can always go over to the Jack London estate as well, which is beautiful at that time of year.

    As for the photo, I agree that the lighting is too harsh. Morning and evenings would be a better time to shoot next time you're there. However, the second photo with the crop does help tremendously.

    I like the second one better too but the shadows are a little distracting...

    All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.

    I forgot to mention that these grapes are on private land and are sold to the Buckland wineary.
