    Re: Zain

Maybe the shot would have worked better if the large black words were fully included. The colors look OK, except for the top right corner which is rather dark.

Also, there is a distracting element on the lower right - what appears to be part of a metal stairway. Try cropping/cloning it out.

yeah this isn't working for me. im not sure why though. might be the cropped word to the right, or im jsut not in the right frame of mind as to what purpose a picture like this would serve (what are you trying to show?)

Alex - Hard to crop that stairway railing out without losing the "N", but cloning might work. Will give it a go.

Dylan - This is actually from my 'It's Abstract, and If You Don't Get It, You Don't Understand Art' series. LOL.

Seriously ... I had to crop a lot of distracting stuff out, ended up with this abstract -- which was somewhat abstract to begin with. It's not supposed to mean anything -- just is what it is. I don't know what all this Zain stuff was over there.. saw it all over the place: walls, banners, and I believe billboards. Maybe it's a political candidate's name

Its the lack of context that bothers me.
    No technical problems...just no context.

    Re: Zain

I'm with AMDA on this, that handrail drew my eye like a magnet and having the word cropped out at the end ain't working for me at all. IMHO you'd be better off losing the whole right hand side of the photo and just leave it as a shot of the logo box on the left.

Alright, looks like it's bugging people. Here's the original. I didn't like how my reflection showed (not enough to call it a self portrait). Jetrim, here's the crop you mentioned too. Sort of plain maybe. And total lack of context now.

I here that cell phones are the rule of the land over there TF.. they don't have the infrastructure for regular lines. Apparently installing cell towers is easier.

For me it's basically a picture of logo, I would like to see more (and I don't mean more text).

GB1 I was looking for something with some redeaming value in what you initially posted, hence my suggestion (which turned out to be even more lackluster than I imagined).

After seeing more of the scene, I think maybe (as I've done a few times) you are "forcing a fit" when there just is none there. You come up w/ some pretty cool shots, but this just isn't one of them IMHO.

    Re: Zain

No problem Folks, just an abstract shot with some nice colors and design. I think I will snag a color reading here and possibly use it for future graphic art though. I do like Zain's logo (they apparently do to, cause it's everywhere!). Ongeza Salio Hapa. (whatever that means)
