    ...at your own risk

From a shoot for Eva Danielle swimwear yesterday morning. Any preferences between these three frames? Does one stand out significantly (good or bad) compared to the others?

    Re: ...at your own risk

I am by no means an expert in model photography. For me, the first one is best. I don't like the top of her head cut off in the second, and while she's got nice legs, I don't like the third.

The biggest issue to me is the horizontal line going through her head in all three shots. Which I'm sure was tough to avoid, and which may be why you cropped the second shot that way. It's not a big deal to me though.

Don't know if I'm learning very fast, but what looks like a shadow from a horizontal beam (or something) is more distracting than the background line.

    I like the legs.:blush2:

Since I feel your expertise is so far above mine, this comment is made with some reluctance.

    hard to critique !

on the third one her hand is not as warm as the rest of the skin,
also the light in the third looks warmer than on the other two, not a bad thing , just different

    Re: ...at your own risk

These were all shot with natural light (after the SB 900 overheated, AGAIN) so the shadows are just something that had to be contended with. The horizontal lines pass behind and not through, so I'm not as worried about them. The idea was to play the black & white stripes of the bikini off those on the guard shack. Not sure if I'll submit these or not as I have some other shots without any of these niggling little issues. Thanks for the comments everyone!

The lines don't bother me at all. In fact, you could use the first two shots as an example of the rule of thirds with the lines already there.
The third shot, to me, is not at a good angle to be complimentary to the model.
