    Young child

Just beginning to explore my Rebel XTI. Comments on composition, color, lighting?

    Re: Young child

Hi Peter, welcome to the forums.
I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to people photography myself, and it may just be me, but his eyes and nose appear a bit soft. Also the person sitting on the bench behind him seems to distract from his face. Color is good though. You might try a couple of different view points (from below his face or eye level) and poses. JMHO.

Only thing I don't like is that edge/rail running through his head. and the person on top of it.
    Love his expression.
