    After 3 hours of hiking and 2 hours of fetch, I think she is a happy camper!

    Nothing special about the top shot, just a snapshot.. BUT, I do like the bottom shot because it shows her eyes quite nicely. Perhaps you could do a crop on those to amplify them. Not that her snout looks bad (it's fun actually ). Just give it a try.

    Agree with GB1, the bottom has a nice tight composition, but its very underexposed too. Its also too obvious that a flash was used.

    Looks like it was shot with a pretty narrow f-stop too, opening up a stop or two (or three) could have helped a lot. These types of shots will really shine bright using your 50mm f/1.8, with that I doubt you'd have had to even use a flash.
