The Party Is Starting

We were on our balcony at the Royal Sonesta when I took this shot. This is the 5th trip to the French Quarter. There was something magical about it this tiip
. SOME OF YOU WILL FIND THIS PHOTO DISTRACTING AND THAT THERE IS NO MAIN FOCAL POINT. THAT IS JUST THE WAY IT IS ON BOURBON STREET, PARTY CENTRAL

i like your shot it catches a view of life in that area, the only thing that stands out is the sreet lite in the center, but over all i like.

I would crop off the balcony on the top left to truly get that feel of being 'over top' all of this. I love the colors of this, and as you said, the busyness is applicable to this situation and area! Well done!

I like this as is - it shows a busy street with lots of colour and atmosphere.

Unlike Jared, for me I would have include more of the balcony above and the people on there who are enjoying the view of the street below.

I agree with roger, the people on the balcony would have been nice, however, it is good as is. Great mix of colors, and captures real life.

I would crop off the balcony on the top left to truly get that feel of being 'over top' all of this. I love the colors of this, and as you said, the busyness is applicable to this situation and area! Well done!

I agree with the others about getting more of the balcony, but to comment on Jared's observation...I wonder if cutting out that much of the total picture would actually detract from the overall picture. The FQ is such a diverse place and the colors, the people, the hustle and bustle...I think this is a great shot.
