    the photo is a bit too overprocessed and noisy for me.

    Just wanted to chime in on this one. I really like that when presented with a so-so image capture in which you could see potential, you take the time to reinterpret the scene through drawing and painting to get it the way you wanted to see it. I've often told folks who asked me why I became a photographer that it's my deep impatience with my ability to draw and paint - if I could do either of these as well as I photograph then I would do that instead.
