    WWII Battle Re-enactment (4 imgs)

Here are a few pictures I took at a WWII Battle Re-enactment last weekend at Ford Ord, CA. All shots taken with a Nikon D1H w/Sigma 135-400mm lens. I turned them blk.white using the Virtual Photographer plugin for PS, and did a little bit of unsharp mask as well. Enjoy and critiques welcome!

Solid photos. I think #3 is clearly the best with #2 behind it. #1 seems a bit like a photo that didn't work, so you tried to rescue it by selective color. #4 seems to have an odd expression (not serious) and I'm trying to figure why he would hold his rifle like that and fire his pistol.

Would you like #3 better like this?

those are very nice pics, i really like the 3rd and 4th one, especially the the 3rd for the expressions, and the realism the dead guy on the ground adds to the event

THanks for the comments! With #1 I actually copied the colored rifle onto a new layer, then turned the background blk/white. I've been experimenting with that type stuff in the past few days.

On the 3rd picture I hadn't though of cropping out the other soldier. It does look very good though. My personal fav the #2, expecially since the driver was supposed to go around the building, but turned to sharp. Luckily the building is gonna get demolished anyway. But for me the shot that came out the best was #3.
