Well, this is different from you-color. I like it very much, makes the viewer wonder how in the heck did this boat get so far from the water. Nice soft colors, angles work well. Nice job.
Seb- What kind of camera do you use? Also, regarding the Beach shot with the grass and the person in red, what settings was your camera on? So beautiful..
CF: Thanks. The colors were muted at the first place (foggy day!) but I further pushed the effect.
J-Dogg: Yup! That's what you get when you shut off a lighthouse lol....
Greg: Are you serious? Thanks a lot for the good words.
Realworld: Thanks a lot and I apologize for not coming back at you on the other shot. I just forgot to do so. I use a genuine Nikon D70 (circa 2004, the real thing!) with either a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 or the glorious Nikon 12-24mm f/4. While most shots from this series were made with the wide angle Nikon, this shot and the other one you are reffering at were made with the Tamron. These were shot in RAW, on aperture priority (I just find it more efficient than going manual) with a slight underexposure of 1/3 stops. Then, the usual post-processing and voilą!
i dont know a thing about boats, but i can imagine that rope coming down as being the anchor. so they were anchored? it really takes my mind for a ride. For me, there is nothing to critique here, i love it, and if Greg was serious about buying one, i want one too! and im serious!
